Organizing Opponent Scouts

Last year I created a Google “Sheet” and shared it with my coaching staff. Each coach had a handful of scouts that were color coded at the bottom in Blue, Green, Yellow, etc. This was information for us as a staff. We would filter from this and decide what information was important enough to ask our players to retain.

I found this useful for a few reasons:

  1. We had a “catch all” for information as we gathered it.

  2. I could monitor my staff to see where they were in their “scout” and help them if needed.

  3. As a staff, we could all peak ahead at other scouts that we not ours to get a glimpse at our upcoming opponents.
