Would you consider your attack an “offense” or a “style of play”? We consider ours to be the latter. Most refer to this as a Conceptual Offense but I think that is a term that can be overused. The advantage of running a conceptual offense is that it is difficult to disrupt.
I used to run motion but we really struggled against teams that would pressure because we HAD to pass to run our offense. If we could not pass we had to drive. The problem is I was not preparing my team to play conceptually. I was preparing them to run offense even though I knew teams on our schedule would pressure. I thought the answer was to get them to fight pressure rather than attack.
This is a video of our guys playing pick up but our style of play does not change from the way we would practice or play.
